Figment of Thought

She shakes her own head. "No, not bad at all. This is kind of fun, although... my legs are starting to hurt a bit," she laughs.

"oooh yeah you get a sore ass for the first few times....especially if you move out of time with the horse to much.."

"Is that why cowboys have that funny walk?" she asks

"thought that was cactuses and tight chaps...." he grins at her

She laughs. "mm how do I turn?" she asks.

"draw on the reign to the direction you want to go...dont yank it its not needed at this speed"

"Ok.. so.. to go right.." she pulls lightly on the right side watching the horse's head.

it makes ivory tilt his head slightly but of course he turns that way

She looks utterly pleased with herself. "I did it!!"

"yes you did...its a case of leaning and letting the horse know which way you want to go..light reign movments and that"

"Have the two of you ever disagreed in direction?" she asks now walking back the way they came in a small circuit.

"uh...i dont think so..maybe when i was younger or if there is a nice filly about.."

"How long have you been together?" she asks. She isn't sure how long ghost horses live.. 'live'? for..

"hmm i got him for my thirteenth birthday" he gives a big smile

"That sounds like an exciting day"

"oh it was i was so excited i couldnt talk for most of the day"

"Where did your parents find such an interesting horse?" she asks.

"i think my mother picked him up at one of the fay sales....but he might have belonged to some of her friends...not to sure"

She nods. It is unlikely she will see any of those places and if she does, no time soon. She rides a few circles getting used to handling the horse before offering control back to Ewen. She dare not go any faster on her own.

he takes the reigns and gets her to take her foot out of the stirup so he can jump back up "you did great for your first time"

She beams. "Do you really think so? I was really nervous though.. Thank you Ivory." She pets him

"of course why would i say it other wise" ivory gives his head a shake and it makes ewen smile

She tilts her head. "What is he saying?" she asks getting the feeling those two often have conversations together

"huh? oh he doesnt speak as such, but i get moods.he is happy right now as he is out"

"I get the same feeling from you," she states looking over her shoulder.
