"Well.. I dear say if we took a few hundred years or so off you might have a chance." She smiles at him. She thinks he was probably good looking back in the day
Feeling the wine she settles back in her seat. She will be grateful for that early night tonight but enjoys the quiet company of companionship for now. It definitely beats a quiet flat in a noisy city.
A yawn escapes her lips upon discovering that the bottle is now empty. She turns her head to look at the clock on display and then to Alan. "I think I will be turning in," she tells him. "I will try and enjoy pillows and clean sheets for the last time in a while."
A question comes to mind at that but rather than start a new conversation she instead just smiles, nods and heads off to bed. She wakes early the next day washing and heading downstairs to get some breakfast. Better to have a good meal if they are walking all day.
She has woken enough to speak by the end of breakfast at least. Orange juice seems to be doing the trick. "Food always tastes better in the early am I swear."
