She calls it fairly with the traditional 'marks, set and go' and before long the two are hurtling down the hill with mounting speed. She loves this feeling, the wind, the thrill. It is the closest she gets to riding again and is becoming something of a dangerous stunt of habit.

For the bulk of her chair it moves pretty quickly giving movement as the only advantage to the skateboard. The descent is not so much the difficult part however as the stopping part and both have to weave and dodge objects and people to come to a halt at the bottom.

petes got the edge on that even though his balance is off slightly and he wobbles as he trys to guide his board still he is laughing

She is not certain who actually won but she no longer cares. The enjoyment of the activity has overwritten the initial challenge that never really mattered anyway. Laughing she brought herself to an eventual stop and rounded back around to him. "Not bad."

"I know of a couple. May take a while to reach them without a car however." She smiles thinking they will have to make a day of this at some point.

She chuckles.  "Will that dye thing not work?  Just colour the whole lot black?"
