Angel May Cry

"theres that name again umbra witches" ebony paused and looked him up and down "so this bayonetta is one of these so called witches" she then looked at hikaru to see if these words meant anything to her

Hikari was silent for a moment, looking lost in thought, “...the umbra witches and the lumen sages...” she suddenly dropped to her knees and held her head, “...th-they were the clans of light and dark...” she winced a little, her  head spinning from all the knowledge in her head.

Luka frowned at the young girl, “Hey is she alright?” he look at a loss of what to do, “I thought she was an umbra witch...”

ebony knelt down and rested her hand on her shoulder "we don't know what she is it was you that labeled her as one" she sighed "she is struggling with remembering her past but it seems that woman knew of her"

Luka frowned and pointed at the girl, “She’s the same as Bayonetta! Her outfit... I= I mean they looked the same obviously.” He rubbed the back of his neck, feeling flustered, “...and you said so yourself that she knew the kid.” He shrugged.

she helped hikaru back up onto her feet and dusted her off "do you know where we can find her as I wish to talk to her on the matter"

“I may not always be able find out exactly where she is, but I never fail to know where she might appear.” Luka folded his arms, broad smile in place, “However, even if you find her... what makes you think she’ll talk to you?” he sighed, “She’s not the sit down and talk type so it would be a waste of time really.”

“Please help us. I’m sure she will talk with me...” Hikaru said looking determined, “After all... I believe we are... we have similarities...” she said slowly, not really sure what she was talking about. She had a strong feeling about something, but she could not remember it clearly.

ebony pulled out her sword and stroked down the blade "it would be easier on you if you just showed us where she could be I don't have the patience for time wasters"

Luka visably flinched and rose both his arm, “N-now now. There’s no need to for a confrontation.” He smiled, “I wouldn’t mind you ladies accompanying me.”

“Really?” Hikaru brightened up, “Oh thank you.”

"wise choice" a smirk appeared on her lips "then lead the way"

“Right this way ma’am...” Luka gave a nervous grin, “The city we need to be in is a little ways away, but I’ve already rented a car.” He said and began walking.

Hikaru didn’t say much and followed, still looking around at things that caught her attention.

she puts her sword away "so how can she already be so far away does she do as that other woman did and fall into hell" it seemed she was more asking herself then asking the man

in the shadows the white haired halfling smirked "oh legs your going to lead me right to her" he put his guns away and kept back out of veiw

“Fall... into hell...?” Hikaru mumbled to herself thinking about the four women they saw before.

Luka looked over his shoulder at the woman, “I’m not sure how she does it.” He shrugs as he leads them to the car.

"when she disappeared it didn't feel like when the other went" she stopped looking at the car she hated automobiles and sh wrinkled her nose unimpressed

Hikaru looked at the car with curious wide eyes, “So this is the car?” she smiled and looked at Ebony, “What does it do?”

Luka paused when he reached for the door and looked at the girl, “...huh?” he blinked wondering if she really just asked that.

"think of it like a horse and cart but the horse has been replaced with new technology its still unpleasant to ride in though" she sighed

“Oh, I see.” Hikaru nodded patting the car’s hood lightly.

Luka scratched his head and shrugged his shoulders. Assuming into be a joke of some kind he gets into the car, “C’mon, if we leave now we should reach the city by dark.” He said and started the engine.

"get in the car little one" ebony opened the door for her taking her time with actually getting into the contraption herself

Hikaru had an enthusiastic smile as she went over and got into the car, "Thank you." she said.

Luka just watched the two out of the corner of his eye. Any normal person would probably find their behavior strange, but after what he's witnessed first hand, he seemed to be desensitized to weird encounters.

she closed the door after hikaru and walked around the car getting in to the passenger seat in the front slamming the door "well onward"

"Yes ma'am." Luka saluted and pulled the car out of it's parking place, driving steadily at a medium pace before going faster once it reached the open roads.

Hikaru made herself comfortable and watched the scenery go by as they drove.

all of a sudden the car was attacked from above making it swerve on the road it was the angelic beasts from earlier they must be after the girl ebony snarled and looked at hikaru "are you ok little one?"

Luka yelled out as he tried to keep the car steady, “The hell--!?”

Hikaru was holding tightly onto the car seats, “I’m alright!” she called, “B-but I’ve remembered something!” she looked at the deamoness, “These creatures, they are not Lumen sages!” she yelped when the car sharply turned and her back hit the door, “They—they are angels!! Creatures of Paradiso!” she managed to say.

"I thought there was a sense of that place in the air you keep this contraption as steady as you can" she opened the door of the car and climbed on the roof grabbing her crossbow and aiming for the beasts

“Easier said than done lady!!” Luka growled, gripping the wheel tightly as he steered.

One angel broke from the rest and swooped down, and attacked the highway road making large dents in the paved ground. The car jolted violently as Luka tried to avoid the holes.

ebony rocked and let out a roar as she shot a blazing green arrow at the beast sending it in to meaty chunks as she knelt gripping the roof of the car with one hand as she fired another arrow through anther angels wing making it fall in front and then under the car
